A rather “Fun.” live review.

July 7, 2011 in Music, Slideshow

American indie band Fun was formed three short years ago in 2008.  Despite its relatively new status, Fun has made a name for itself in the alternative music scene.  Within the past few years, Fun has toured with veterans of the scene such as Panic! At the Disco, and Paramore.  I had the pleasure of being able to see them back in Juna and, as expected, they put on quite the show.

Fun’s extravagant pop set lasted only forty minutes,  and yet the trio was able to make a lasting impact.  Nate Ruess’s ever-reliable voice and electric stage presence combined well with the other musicians.  Fun was nice enough to preview two cuts from their upcoming album, both of which left the crowd begging for more.  A few of Fun’s older songs appeared to be changed up, but everything was still up to par and more than any fan could have asked for.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a fun, lively band to check out this summer then Fun. is just the band for you, as the name would suggest.  Fun’s performance was not only a pleasure to watch, but engaging as well. I would definitely recommend the band to anyone who is looking to have, well, fun!

Be sure to check out their band here.
